WASHINGTON, D.C. – 5,000 Catholics came to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception on the campus of Catholic University of America to celebrate the closing Mass for the “Fortnight for Freedom” campaign on the Fourth of July. Mass was highlighted by appearances from Cardinal Donald Wuerl, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, Archbishop Charles J. Chaput of Philadelphia, and Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore.
